Monsanto’s development and marketing of genetically engineered seed and bovine growth hormone, as well as its aggressive litigation and political lobbying practices, have made the company controversial around the world and a primary target of the anti-globalization movement and environmental activists.

Source: Wikipedia

Monsanto has explicitly patented nature. The very food you eat, the meats, milk, grain, whatever you think is natural, are gradually being patented and owned by corporations, especially the Monsanto corporation.

You can imagine the future implications.

Although here is a story that is very telling of a distopian future that all this great technology will create for us.

Since the bioengineered seeds produced by Monsanto is virtually indistinguishable from a natural seed, farmers are unable to sort out monsanto seeds from real seeds. Thus a farmer grows his crops thinking they’re all natural seeds, but instead it turns out that his farm has been polluted by these monsanto seeds. Monsanto then sues claiming “intellectual property infringement” on the farmer; claiming that he/she is using the engineered seeds on purpose, (although not the same, imagine the RIAA and music sharing).

Now what is a farmer to do. Since there is no way to distinguish monsanto seeds from natural seeds. A farmer is effectively out of business, reason being that he cannot plant seeds, because it has been patented by a company.

The corporate monopoly of nature foreshadows a future a great future… no, it’ll be bad.

Thus the notion is, that by making slight adjustments to their massively consumptuous lifestyle, they have made a difference, and contributed to a “greener”, cleaner planet. Noticeably, the people who are so animated about the green movement are those people who are financially well off. The poor are already green through their natural economy.

The stuff that we consume causes pollution and it dynamically affects every other nation in this world. When we tell China to cut down on pollution, well maybe when we stop outsourcing all of our stuff for them to make, maybe they can cut down on pollution.

What is spouted by those within the consumptuous economy, which is all of us, are honey soaked words, that bear no gravity, no real use. In a sense, it is a sort of art, which though visually beautiful, is in all practicality, useless.

To be truly green, sell all your possessions, rid yourself of all the “stuff” you’ve accumulated and then live. You’ll find that you have to be green, you have to recycle, you have to be sensitive to this planet, because you live on it and you haven’t separated yourself from it with all your stuff. You’ve become, in a sense poor.

Ideas are not the product of men, but rather, men are products of ideas. Insofar that ideas can compell a man to act heroically or heinously, man cannot compel an idea.

Lets look at this postulation again.

Are you free? Can you compel yourself to act, or are you wielded as an instrument by the idea itself. The idea of it, the idea of love, the idea of the perfect socie

ty, the idea of how you ought to be.

Weak men become gods when they are wielded by potent ideas and it is what drives us all; that idea of life. The idea that we ought to be here instead of there, or the idea that a people are inferior or superior and thus should be slaughtered or preserved.

Could you imagine life without ideas, would there be any ambition for pursuits or aspirations for order? Would there be stimuli to function?

No!

Throughout history ordinary men have been possesed by ideas and these ideas have come in many forms. For not all ideas are equal, some have a weak influence which convinces the man to temporarily act and then gradually dies off, others are ideas of great potency that lives out its being over the natural length of the man’s life.

The current terrorist attacks in Mumbai India, constitutes of simple men, who driven by an idea have inalterably changed the course of this nation.

Ideas are “cognizant consciousness’s” and the upheavals of our day to day lives, or, of our world are not conflicts of men, but the battle of ideas, of which idea will become the core operant. Men being chess pieces are mobilized by ideas and so when men commit to give their lives for a cause, to effectively engage or disengage such men, we must engage those ideas that mobilized him. To engage anything other than that is an exercise in futility

A lot of money has been given away in the past month, countless billions and billions all in effect to correct this recessionary hole. The magnitude of funds currently funding this crisis has grown so immense that we are now using faith to fund this crisis, a derivative of the faith that the world still has in America.

Money is an illusion held together by billions of people and we are only able to weather this financial crisis because many people have faith in us. People the world over believe in this American characteristic of the drive to change, and transcend, and improve in an ever constant manner towards bigger and better elevations.

Now this faith, is an amazing phenomenon because only a little is needed to move mountains, and if the world believes in us long enough, we might just rebound.

Countless die from wars and the many other causes that extinguish life, though, none so appeals to the senses as suicide. Perhaps it is because everyone can conceive it, everyone can understand the difficulty and ease by which it can befall them; it is universal.

In the many other ways that we can die, it is generally sudden and involuntary, It is immediate and then it ends. But with suicide, death is welcomed, planned for, and desired.

Death, in and of itself is a question that befuddles. Is it really the end? Could there be more on the other side? No mathematical formula or molecular science can expose it and we have resigned to the fact death is the end of everything. The secularist and even the religious harbors a certain fear of death. After all why would any sane person venture to see what lies beyond the limits.

This life on this earth is a great one, its truly marvelous. Life is a revelry. But this life is all we’ve ever known.

Behold this: Death is an Exit.

Realize death as an exit, an exit from the life that we know of. It is similar to the first time when astronauts left the stratosphere and entered space and upon leaving earth thereby realized that there was indeed an infinite world beyond our confines.

The seed must first die before it can grow into the mighty trees of the forest.
Human life is that seed, and life is the soil, though the seed does not know what lies beyond the soil, by its natural make up the seed grows, and it is in that growth that we trasnscend the boundaries of this life, thereby entering the infinite world.

In general this is just another wacky Democratic idea to “spread the wealth” in America. Let’s face it, if our government were to implement a plan such as this, we would be that much closer to socialism. Over 200 years ago, individuals fought for the freedom of America, and yet here we are handing it over on a silver platter to the government. In this case of government intervention and control, where’s the separation between the responsible and the laggards? We should each be held responsible for our actions: if you save for the future, then great, otherwise you made your choice.

The decor of Circuit City stores is most responsible for its bankruptcy. Best Buy has a cool demeanor, blue, cool, and fresh. Circuit City’s colors were red. Red means stop, turn around and leave the store. Red is a halting color to the American psyche. Red is used as a stopping signal, warning signal, danger signaling. Having the color Red as a main color in a shopping environment is a risk. Target stores should learn from this or they’ll be filing the next bankruptcy.

Examples of decor in stores:

Walmart: Blue, Fresh, Lots of lights | Successful

Bestbuy: Blue, Fresh, Lots of lights | Successful

Circuit City: Red, Gloomy, Red, Somber | Bankruptcy

Cons Electronic: Gloomy, Somber | Approaching Bankruptcy

Usually CC (Circuit City) is only an option when BB (Best Buy) did not have the product immediately available. Walking into CC was like entering a morgue, it was uncharacteristically gloomy and somber for a shopping environment. They were already feeling the pinch of the economy and were cutting down on lights and it was evident.

Although CC plans to stay in business while it reorganizes itself under chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, nonetheless, the news of their current state of affairs will expedite the end of the company.

This is not a boon for a single American political party, or for one man; This is America at its best.

America is not a constitution of one race. Unlike any other country in the world America represents the world in all of its facets. We have a multiracial population that seamlessly functions, a desire to always improve ourselves that drives the very essence of “an American”, and now, a president elect, that thoroughly represents the true population of America. In terms of social shifts, this is perhaps the biggest to have ever happened upon mankind.
