In late 2007, Teresa Ghilarducci, professor of Economics at the New School for Social Research, introduced the Guaranteed Retirement Accounts plan. The reality of this euphemistically titled proposal is government control over our retirement plans. The money invested in 401k plans will be amalgamated into the Social Security system. The government will turn around and invest YOUR money in the financial markets, and you will receive this money in the form of a Social Security check. No thank you, Uncle Sam.
In general this is just another wacky Democratic idea to “spread the wealth” in America. Let’s face it, if our government were to implement a plan such as this, we would be that much closer to socialism. Over 200 years ago, individuals fought for the freedom of America, and yet here we are handing it over on a silver platter to the government. In this case of government intervention and control, where’s the separation between the responsible and the laggards? We should each be held responsible for our actions: if you save for the future, then great, otherwise you made your choice.
For all those people who have spent many years investing their savings in 401(k) plans, so much for that! With our soon to be Democratic run government, a plan like this may be seriously considered amongst our political leaders. Ideas like this make you wonder, what will the United States of America be like in another 50 years or so…

Blue vs Red. The decor of Circuit City stores is most responsible for its bankruptcy. Best Buy has a cool demeanor, blue, cool, and fresh. Circuit City’s colors were red. Red means stop, turn around and leave the store. Red is a halting color to the American psyche. Red is used as a stopping signal, warning signal, danger signaling. Having the color Red as a main color in a shopping environment is a risk. Target stores should learn from this or they’ll be filing the next bankruptcy.
Examples of decor in stores:
Walmart: Blue, Fresh, Lots of lights | Successful
Bestbuy: Blue, Fresh, Lots of lights | Successful
Circuit City: Red, Gloomy, Red, Somber | Bankruptcy
Cons Electronic: Gloomy, Somber | Approaching Bankruptcy
Usually CC (Circuit City) is only an option when BB (Best Buy) did not have the product immediately available. Walking into CC was like entering a morgue, it was uncharacteristically gloomy and somber for a shopping environment. They were already feeling the pinch of the economy and were cutting down on lights and it was evident.
Although CC plans to stay in business while it reorganizes itself under chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, nonetheless, the news of their current state of affairs will expedite the end of the company.

Currently Obama is speaking to the public in an open mic fashion. Something that I could not have imagined George Bush ever accomplishing. Obama articulates eloquently, succinctly, and in a fashion that is available in understanding to everyone. Its amazing to hear him speak, I used to cringe when when I watched George Bush speak to us, only because, Bush expresses the difficulty of his conflict with public speaking, much so that I, the viewer, felt his ordeal.
Obama’s succinct style, is refreshing and definite, without the “sentence interventions” that trail off in “ums” and “huhs” that have pervaded much of the speaking of those who have no idea of the matter at hand.

This is not a boon for a single American political party, or for one man; This is America at its best.
America is not a constitution of one race. Unlike any other country in the world America represents the world in all of its facets. We have a multiracial population that seamlessly functions, a desire to always improve ourselves that drives the very essence of “an American”, and now, a president elect, that thoroughly represents the true population of America. In terms of social shifts, this is perhaps the biggest to have ever happened upon mankind.
This American election solidifies the notion of the drive of human beings to change, and transcend, and improve in an ever constant manner towards bigger and better elevations.

McCain is a good man, everyone around him just sucks.
This incident displays the fact fully. Perhaps, in a better world, McCain and Obama could’ve been in the same party.
Anyway, here’s the article, click here.

Israel & Palestines… Israel bombs… kills…it continues on and on, indefinitely…People die… I get used to it… Only 13 blamless people died today.
Tears in the man’s eye…
Tears that promise retaliation…
The wars of men, turn to
The wars of their children.
